Fandom: Persona 4
Name: Yu Narukami
Canon Point: After Naoto's dungeon
History: http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Yu_Narukami

Personality:
(I would like to say before I go into this, that I will be portraying Yu as he is in the anime, as it is harder to give him a consistent personality based off of the game itself. The wiki I have provided also details his personality in the anime as well as in game)
Upon first meeting him, one might not think Yu has much of a personality at all. Quiet, dry-humored, and a bit slow to warm up, Yu nevertheless makes a steadfast and rewarding friend to those who get to know him - and the better he gets to know others, the more he opens up. His perfect posture and unwavering gaze are offset by his tendency to say the strangest, most awkward possible commentary for a situation. It is debatable whether these instances are deadpanned or Yu is just prone to awkwardness.
Yu is very curious and open to accepting new - and often intimidating - situations. Faced with a string of murders in his new hometown, he teams up with a few friends to investigate on their own. Suddenly able to walk through televisions and transported to a nightmarish landscape? No problem! Yu takes it all in stride and defeats the first monster he comes across with the magical summoning powers he was granted in a dream. You know, whatever.
At the same time, Yu's strengths can also end up sabotaging him. His stoicism can grant him an air of authority in group situations, but he is also more stand-offish on his own, which can push people away before they get to know him - a big downfall for someone whose powers derive directly from his social connections with others. His loyalty and bravado have done him very well so far, but there is a fine line between bravery and stupidity, and that is a line Yu crosses often - especially for his friends.

Skills | Powers: He can travel through TVs into a parallel, surreal world of monsters and mist, and summon his "Persona" there as well. A "Persona" is a being with special powers that helps him fight. Unlike other Persona users, Yu can weild multiple Persona, as well as combine them. He can only travel through TVs he can physically fit through.
He uses a two-handed sword in battle but has no formal training whatsoever.

First Person Sample: [Video]
"....Oh. Is it recording?"
[Yu is silent for another moment as he inspects the tablet in his hand. After a while he leans back in.]
"Hello. Yosuke? Chie? ....Teddy?"
[Another pause, and a flicker of concern crosses his otherwise stoic expression. He taps the screen with his hand a couple times.] "No luck there." [He frowns a bit and brushes his hair away from his glasses.]
"I don't know if everyone's watching me, if this is in the TV... It doesn't seem so." [Yu lifts his head to look around.] "This doesn't like Inaba. Or any place I know. I don't remember at all how I got here. The glasses don't seem to make a difference here. Not yet at least. No fog. There was a ferryman earlier, I was... on a boat?"
[He turns back to the tablet, looking suddenly very serious.]
"He said to contact others. If there are other people in here, my name is Narukami Yu. I don't know where I am, but maybe if we find each other, we can figure it out and get home."
[The screen starts to flicker towards blackness] "Please, someone find me..."

Third Person Sample:
Yu stood up and scanned his surroundings. If he wasn't in the TV... if this wasn't the Midnight Channel, where was it? Where was he?
He flicked his fingers uncomfortably. There was a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach and he just couldn't shake the thought that the others wouldn't be here.
"Calm down," he muttered. "They'll be fine without you." Well Chie and Yukiko, sure. Naoto definitely. Yosuke, maybe...
He sat down again and looked at the tablet. Nothing new. He crossed his legs. Put the tablet in his lap. Nothing new. Put the tablet aside. Tapped his fingers. Straightened his legs - tablet? Nothing. Tapped his hand on the tablet. Still not a TV - no chance of going through that. Not that he would fit. Maybe his face? Could he take a look through? Well maybe but it's still not a TV so he should probably stop getting worked up about it. He put the tablet aside again. Crossed his legs again. Lay down - that was a bad idea, sit up, no stand up, screw this, screw this they weren't coming, there was no point in staying put, no one was going to find him, he was on his own, and somehow something had changed. He wasn't in Inaba, he wasn't in the TV... or was he?
Yu took his glasses off and massaged his temples. Calm down, just calm down, this is nothing new. It really isn't. He sighed and swore quietly.
He looked down at the tablet he'd apparently been pacing away from. "They're smart," he said after a minute, reaching down to pick it up. "Someone will figure out where I am. Dojima will notice I'm gone before anyone else... and I bet Yosuke and everyone will find out through Adachi." He laughed in spite of himself. He wondered if Adachi could keep anything secret. That was probably why he didn't have a girlfriend.
A chuckle snuck its way out of his throat. "Haha, haah... why am I laughing." He put his face in his hands and shook his head, still grinning. "Poor Adachi. That's not funny. It's kind of funny. ...I'm talking to myself."
Yu sighed again - this time more in determination than anything - and directed a slight scowl to the surrounding area. "Well," he said, "Might as well pick a direction and start walking."

How I am doing as Yu Narukami (aka "Protagonist" aka Souji Seta)?

Anon is on, IP tracking off, please feel free to honestly let me know!

Figured I should post these before I forget.

Flirting: Sure thing! It will probably take a while for Yu to realize what's happening, though.

Hugging/Kissing/General romantic behavior: Again, sure thing; and again, it may take a while for Yu to figure out what's happening. It may take a while longer for him to have a reaction.

Dating: A significant aspect of the Persona games is, in essence, dating sims. If you're up for asking out a character who has in a sense dated the entire cast of his series - simultaneously - then more power to you.

Don't anticipate a huge amount of commitment.

Fighting: Bring it!

Killing: Sure, but please discuss it with me first!
